I am a fully qualified, BACP Accredited Counsellor and UKCP Registered Psychotherapist, based in Chancery Lane (Holborn), Central London, WC1. I have over 10 years experience of working with a wide range of issues, largely within my own private practice but also for a number of not-for-profit organisations.
There are many reasons for wanting to begin counselling or psychotherapy. A recent, or current, crisis is often the prompt. Or, you may feel the time has come to take a closer look at those problems that seem all too familiar to you. Many people find their struggles to be too broad or confusing to place in any particular box, or experience a difficult-to-locate sense of dissatisfaction with their lives.
You needn't be clear about your own reasons. My aim, both initially and throughout, is to help you give voice to, as well as understand more fully, those areas of your life that feel difficult, painful, unfulfilled or stuck. Such understanding can be useful and cathartic in its own right, but beyond this, it can also help us make decisions about those things we may wish to change, and come to terms with those things that we can't.
Please have a look at the rest of my website, and my approach in particular - it should hopefully give you a fuller sense of what therapy entails, how I work and whether you'd like to arrange an initial session. If anything is unclear, or if you have any questions at all, feel free to contact me.
